EnOcean Gateway VL-700 BASE 2
The VL-700 BASE 2 is the new generation of our EnOcean gateway and IoT edge controller. With the pre-installed software it receives data from up to 500 EnOcean sensors via 32 EnoDisc®, evaluates it and passes it on – with four processor cores and 2 GB of RAM, in an unchanged design.

Description
The VL-700 BASE 2 serves as an IoT edge controller and EnOcean gateway. With the pre-installed software it receives data from up to 500 EnOcean sensors via 32 EnoDisc®, interprets it and sends it to a cloud, for example.
Optionally, the data is evaluated entirely locally and passed on to the building automation system, for example via MQTT or Modbus TCP. The plug-in KNX module VL-STYLE-KNX-TP adds KNX TP.
The EnoDisc® receivers are connected to a central switch via Ethernet and powered via PoE+. The VL-700 BASE 2 is usually installed in an IT rack or control cabinet and powered by an industrial-grade 24 V DC power supply.
Compared with the VL-700 BASE, it has four times the processor cores, four times the RAM, a particularly write-resistant flash memory and additional FRAM – reserves for large installations and new functions.
What changes compared with the VL-700 BASE
Same design, new internalsDesign, connections, power supply, temperature range and mounting are unchanged. The VL-700 BASE 2 fits in the same place, on the same terminals and in the same cabinet cut-out as the VL-700 BASE. What changes are the internals.
