How we handle your data, what rights you have, and who you can contact.

Data protection and data security for our customers and users are a high priority for us. In this data protection notice, we explain what information is collected during your visit to and use of this website and how this information is processed and used. We only collect, process and use your personal data if we are permitted to do so by law or if you have given your consent. This also applies to the processing and use of personal data for advertising and marketing purposes. "We" refers to DEUTA Controls GmbH, Paffrather Str. 140, 51465 Bergisch Gladbach, which is also the "controller" for the collection, processing and use of your personal data within the meaning of the General Data Protection Regulation ("GDPR") and "service provider" within the meaning of the German Digital Services Act ("DDG"). 1. handling of data when accessing this website

1.1 Log files
We need to collect and store certain information to enable you to access our website. When you visit our website, our Internet server automatically records the domain name or IP address of the requesting computer as well as the date of access, the client's file request (file name and URL), the HTTP response code, the website from which you are visiting us and the number of bytes transferred during the connection (so-called log files). This data is deleted as soon as you end your visit to our website. We store your IP address for a period of seven days for the purposes provided for by law - in particular the detection of misuse and the detection and elimination of technical faults.
1.2 Website analysis with Google Analytics
With your consent, we use Google Analytics 4, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland (“Google”). Google Analytics uses cookies and similar technologies to analyse how our website is used, for example pages visited, time spent, approximate origin (country, city) and device and browser information. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; Google uses them only briefly to derive the approximate location. We use the analyses to improve our offering. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR, Section 25(1) TDDDG). You can withdraw it at any time with effect for the future via our cookie settings (button below). A transfer of data to Google LLC in the USA cannot be ruled out. Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework; the transfer is based on the European Commission’s adequacy decision (Art. 45 GDPR). We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google. The data is deleted after 14 months. 2. handling of data when using website functionalities

We may offer you further functionalities on this website now or in the future for which personal data or other information must be collected, e.g. if you send us questions or feedback via a contact form or register for a newsletter. Mandatory information is marked as such in these cases. We will collect, process and use such data and information without your further consent only to the extent necessary for the respective functionality (e.g. to answer your question, process your feedback or send you the newsletter). The data entered by you and the data collected or processed in this context will only be transmitted to third parties if this is necessary and legally permissible for the implementation and processing of your request. For example, the service providers we use receive the data required to send the newsletter. The transmitted data may be used by our service providers on the basis of corresponding contracts exclusively for the fulfillment of their task. The data collected or processed in connection with your request will be deleted or blocked in compliance with the legal requirements. Your personal data will be deleted in particular if the data is no longer required to fulfill the purpose for which it was stored or to fulfill legal retention obligations or if its storage is inadmissible for other legal reasons.

We collect, process and use your personal data on the basis of your consent, except in the cases permitted by law. We can offer you the option of granting such consent, e.g. by means of a clickable / checkable field ("checkbox") on this or another website or other means (e.g. one of our advertising materials). The nature, scope, and purpose of the collection, processing, and use of personal data—including potential recipients of the personal data to be transferred—are set forth in the consent form. You may withdraw your consent at any time without providing a reason. All personal data is stored only for as long as necessary for the stated purpose (processing your inquiry or fulfilling a contract). Based on the average project duration, we assume a retention period of 2 years. Taking into account retention periods under tax and commercial law, the retention period may be extended to up to 10 years.

4. Newsletter

  You can subscribe to our newsletter on our website. In it, we provide information about new devices, firmware and software releases, application examples and planning aids, usually about every two months. To subscribe, we only need your email address. The legal basis is your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. Double opt-in and logging: After subscribing, you will receive an email with a confirmation link. Only after confirmation will we add your address to our mailing list. In order to be able to prove your consent (Art. 7(1) GDPR), we store the time of subscription and confirmation, the IP address used and the wording of the consent. Mailing service provider: We use Brevo, a service of Brevo GmbH, Köpenicker Str. 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany, to send the newsletter. Brevo processes your data on our behalf on the basis of a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The data is stored on servers in the European Union (France and Belgium). Some of Brevo’s sub-processors are based in the USA; transfers there are safeguarded by the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses. Further information: https://www.brevo.com/legal/privacypolicy/ No analysis of reading behaviour: We do not evaluate whether you open a newsletter or which links you click in it. Personalised open and click tracking is switched off at Brevo. Brevo records opens and clicks at most in anonymised form, without reference to your email address, in order to monitor email deliverability. Storage period and withdrawal: We store your data until you unsubscribe. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, via the unsubscribe link at the end of each newsletter or by email to info@deuta-controls.de. After you unsubscribe, we add your address to a block list so that you no longer receive newsletters, and we keep the records of your previous consent for as long as we need them to defend against claims (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Unconfirmed subscriptions are deleted after 30 days.

If you contact us by e-mail or via the contact form, the information you provide will be stored for the purpose of processing your inquiry and for possible follow-up questions.

6. embedded YouTube videos

We embed YouTube videos on some of our web pages. The operator of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. When you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection is established to YouTube’s servers. In the process, YouTube is informed of which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account, YouTube can associate your browsing activity with you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand. When a YouTube video is started, the provider uses cookies that collect information about user behavior. If you have disabled the storage of cookies for the Google Ads program, you will not encounter such cookies even when watching YouTube videos. However, YouTube also stores non-personal usage information in other cookies. If you wish to prevent this, you must block the storage of cookies in your browser. 7. your rights to information, correction, blocking, deletion and objection

You have the right to receive information about your personal data stored by us at any time. You also have the right to correct, block or, apart from the prescribed data storage for business transactions, delete your personal data. Please contact our data protection officer. You will find the contact details below. You can make changes or withdraw your consent with effect for the future by notifying us accordingly.

9. amendment of our data protection provisions

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy from time to time to ensure that it always complies with current legal requirements or to implement changes to our services in the privacy policy, e.g. when introducing new services. The new privacy policy will then apply to your next visit.

10. right to information

You have the right to inquire about the data collected about you at any time, free of charge and without delay.
