One gateway, up to 32 wireless receivers, up to 500 sensors. Open interfaces in both directions, no annual license fees per sensor. This page details the complete path a measured value takes, with all the figures you need for planning.

The sensors measure and transmit data. Depending on the type, they do so every four minutes or whenever a change occurs; many of them are self-powered by a solar cell.

How many receivers do I need?

Antenna Planning
12 m Radius Büroetage, 5 EnoDisc, konservativ gerechnet

The number of receivers is determined by the building's structure, not by the number of sensors. For the office space outlined, we are planning for five units without knowing the exact layout of the future furnishings. This is a deliberately conservative estimate.

Two Ways to Receive a Signal

Your own antenna or existing IT infrastructure
Option 1 EnoDisc®
  • Dedicated wireless receiver, powered via PoE+
  • Three-piece housing, RJ45 or LSA, white or black
  • Transmits from Port 8424 in ESP3 format
  • Order number 12320, AL-512-01-868
Option 2 Existing Access Points
  • HPE Aruba Networking Access Point with EnOcean USB dongle
  • Uses the IT infrastructure that’s already planned
  • Also supports up to 32 units per gateway
  • A good option if the ceiling locations are already assigned

Four MQTT brokers are running simultaneously. This means you can send the data in parallel to a cloud provider, transfer it locally to the building automation system, make it available to support, and continue working on your own system.
